These awards recognise the top journalists under 30. From fearless investigative reporters, exciting columnists, enthusiastic specialist correspondents and all the in between.

If you're under 30 and working for a UK-based news organisation or you know someone who fits that criteria that needs to be celebrated.

The awards are open to journalists under the age of 30 as of 9 October 2025, entries must be submitted in the form of written work. 

We would recommend uploading work examples which have been released over the past year from May 2024 - May 2025. While we do not have a cut off and you can upload older work examples, the judges will be keen to see the most recent work to represent the entrant.
